Hi there, my name is Stefan Mills

... and I want to work for you!

I am a Graphic Communicator, I do things differently.

I was a student at AUT University, I studied for a diploma in Graphic Communication over two years in the School of Art and Design from '08 to '09. Being a Graphic Communicator means I have a thorough understanding of the press side of design and the requirements for the other areas of the industry and not just what looks good on a computer monitor or sketch pad. I am passionate about efficient and accurate reproduction in print which has lead me to a better understanding of the processes involved from offset lithography to screen-printing on textiles. Clean and efficient web development is another area that I am also very interested in. As a rookie coder I am always looking for better ways of doing things for web design. It's all about communicating the message and being able to say what you want accurately; this is my first and foremost interest. I'm the guy that craves a different take on design.

I am passionate about retro-futurism, typography and making ideas work. I enjoy getting down to the nitty-gritty of creating complex and multi-layered vectors and photoshop graphics. Crafting fine details accurately is my strong point. Having a natural drawing ability is a big part of my design process, this means I put a lot of pencil to paper before I create anything digitally. I can draw anything from accurate logo concepts to complex page drafts and proportionately correct human figures. Some of my personal interests, away from the computer desk, include drawing, motorcycles and moto-cross, camping and hiking, fashion, clothing and building performance PC Computers for gaming. I put a lot passion into my design work as I am always looking for a way to create something striking yet timeless. Design, like your favourite shirt or shoes, you should never grow tired of looking at. That is what I strive for in every piece of work I create.
